What people are saying about Budapest

Really liked this tour. Only issue was finding our guide at the start. We were in front of Great Market Hall at our start time, but could not find our guide as she was not holding up anything to alert us that she was the guide. We called the number on our voucher and the company contacted the guide, who we just happened to run into thankfully. Once we got going, the tour ended up being very good. Had a brief tour of the market hall, had some sausage and bread that was excellent, and a chance to buy a few things at one of the stalls. Then on to the Jewish quarter via tram where we went to an outside food court and had mici which was great. then moved on and had a nice lunch at a traditional Hungarian restaurant. Then on to one of the best Ruin bars which was really cool. Eclectic for sure with wild decorations throughout. Had a beer here and chance to rest up for a few. Then on to a pastry shop to have the famous tunnel cake, which was fresh and tasty. Tour was overall good.

Very highly recommended. We spent a wonderful morning with Aniko, and were extremely impressed with the quality of the tour. The food is great, of course, and it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into choosing the stops. It gives a wonderful glimpse into local Budapest life, and we came away with a far deeper appreciation of the city and its past. Aniko is a delight.

Fantastic time spent in this amazing little shop selling brilliant wines. Our session was in the cellar and was one on one with our host who’s knowledge of all the food and wines was excellent. Some beautiful food and wine and money off in the shop so we bought some local red and white wine. Highly recommend.

Loads of useful info about both the food and wines. Super friendly and welcoming, food was delicious and lots of options. Definitely learned a lot and host was so informative and couldn’t have been nicer! Great value for money! Would 100% go back!

This is the tour to get away from the other tourists and experience the food that local people eat. It’s a chance to interact not only with the local guide but also with the residents of Budapest
