What people are saying about Budapest

Book early with cabin (especially on public holidays)

We were there on Easter weekend. There were exceptionally a lot more people - queuing to buy ticket and to redeem online tickets. We spent about 20 mins to get the tickets despite booking online. We booked 2 cabins and was asked if it's ok to share (due to high turn up) and we agreed. If you are visiting this place during long weekend, it's highly recommended to purchase your tickets here in advance. The best part of booking online is that the Spa reserved a cabin with number for us - hence skipping the line to get into this place with others who purchased entrance tickets with cabin. Overall, we spent about 30 mins queuing from collecting tickets to gaining entry. Other than that, the pools are really nice and warm - we enjoyed overall.

Relax and recouperate after exploring the sights.

We spent 2.5 hours here from 11am. We didn't have a treatment but perhaps would next time. It was fairly busy at this time. The outdoor pools are far nicer than the indoor, the later being a series of smaller luke warm pools. There's a few saunas/ steam rooms inside which are worth a visit. I have read some negative reviews about cleanliness- we had no issues with this. Advice: take flip flops as they're manditory, take your own towel if you can, and book a cabin (only slightly more expensive & easier). If we were to go again, we'd probably go later in the day, mainly to try to avoid the group's of kids who seemed to be on school trips.

A great way to take time out to relax on your Budapest visit

The Gellert baths architecture is definitely to be appreciated - both in and out of the pools. A lovely way to de-compress in swimming pools, hot pools, sauna and/or the terrace bar if you've been doing a lot of walking, and whether you go for a fewf hours, or decide to stay longer and make a whole day of it. Be aware that only credit or debit cards are used in the restaurant and bar areas. Take your own towel and shower cap (needed for using some of the indoor pools) as well as costume and flip flops - to avoid extra payments. Booking with a cabin for changing and storing your outdoor clothes is definitely worth doing.

Worth it, Nomophobics should be fordibben.

Lovely architecture, with some aparent decay you don't see in other Budapest baths. Very very noisy tourists, you see well the difference between nice and calm locals and then the hurds of noisy kids and young adults screaming and constantly taking photos/videos. It's more like a water park with hot water. It's sad, because it could be so great and relaxing without screaming youngsters or bachelor drinking hurds. Fortunately, inside pools are calmer.

Great sunny afternoon break from walking!

My family was skeptical when I booked this (they thought it would be a waste of time/was a weird concept) but everything was perfect! Cabin purchase gave us a great sense of security, no wait in line, and wasn’t overcrowded. I don’t think I’d go back if I went to Budapest a second time, simply because there is so much else to see there- but would definitely recommend for anyone visiting for a few days!
