Full description
Start your Christmas tour at a centrally located meeting point, here you will have a short meet and greet with your guide before setting off to your first destination. Commence your walking tour with a visit to the world famous, UNESCO protected Andrassy Street. Take a walk to the Basilica, the largest church in Budapest and there, in the front square of the church you will see the spectacular Christmas Market.

Peruse the festive markets and take a look around at the shops and see the Christmas activities that take place. Continue on to Liberty Square and Parliament, one of Budapest's landmark buildings. After your parliament visit you will take a scenic stroll along the Danube, awaiting you along the way are spectacular panoramic views of Castle Hill, the Chain Bridge, the Royal Palace and the Royal Gardens. You will pass the Academy of Sciences and find yourself in the heart of the UNESCO protected World Heritage Danube Bank.

A short stroll away from the Danube lies Vörösmarty Square, where the Pedestrian Area and the oldest Subway of continental Europe starts. Vörösmarty Square houses the most well known Christmas Market with plenty of small huts offering specialities, mulled wine and handcrafted toys and presents. Here you can witness performances by theatre groups and see live-music as well.
