Start your 5-day adventure with a departure in the morning from Vienna/Bratislava. Head North-East of Slovakia, soaking in views of castles, mountains, countryside and spectacular nature along the way. In the afternoon, you'll reach the National Park. Here, participants can take a rest, enjoy a walk in nature or bike around the village.
Day 2: National Park Pieniny
On day-2, you and your group will get to experience the fun of rafting on the river Dunajec, an outdoor experience packed with breathtaking views of the National Park, Pieniny. This river is not only for advanced rafters but also for beginners. This canyon is the biggest and purest in middle Europe. On your way through the smallest National park in Slovakia, you will receive a panoramic view of the mountain, “Three coins”. Whilst you raft, you will have the opportunity to select one of three different paths; from the Red Monastery to Lesnica, from Spišská Stará Ves to Lesnica or from Spišská Stará Ves to Kroscienko.
Day 3: High Tatras experience
Start your day with a trip to the oldest National Park in Slovakia. Here, you get to enjoy an easy hike, suitable for everyone, including children. The High Tatras are truly unique, a rare place where one can enjoy magical silence in the valleys as well as maximum relaxation. This National Park features around 600km of marked trails that can take tourists to some of the most interesting and hidden places of the High Tatras.
Day 4: Low Tatras experience
Visit the biggest National Park in Slovakia, the Low Tatras, boasting 1102 square kilometers. This location provides you the most stunning views of untouched forests, valleys between river Vah and Hron, waterfalls and fauna. For advanced hikers, there are hills Ďumbier and Chopok, both of which are rich on amazing views throughout the whole country. Slovakian caves full of stalactite formations are also opened for the public, one of which you will get the chance to visit. In addition to this, you will get to take a cableway to Chopok mountain. Later that afternoon you will move to your hotel.
Day 5: Visit Orava castle and hike in Malá Fatra National Park. Afternoon departure to Bratislava/Vienna
In the morning, drive about an hour to one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia: Oravský Hrad, where one of the first ever vampire movies was filmed – Nosferatu (1922). Throughout the day you'll also get to visit the National Park Malá Fatra. Here you can find a series of wonderful little gorges with ladders and waterfalls. Next, stop at a traditional Slovak restaurant to enjoy some traditional cuisine. After lunch you will head back to Bratislava, passing two castles in Western Slovakia: Trenčin and Beckov.
