The tour took us to see the Gullfoss waterfall, the Kerio crater, Geysir and Thingvellir National Park where we walked between the North American and the Eurasian tectonic plates, which was awesome. Then due to our original booking being cancelled, we travelled back to Reykjavik and caught a transfer back out to the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is a 'must do activity' for anyone visiting Iceland. It was a lot cleaner than I had expected and I'd imagined it would be quite smelly (like the Strokkur geyser) but it hardly smelt at all.
The tour itself was very nice. And booking was easy. All the main amazing nature attractions and convenient transportation in a small bus ending to a relaxing blue lagoon bath. Though the lunch hour at the geysirs was too busy so we had to gulp our food too fast to catch the bus. The actual travel agency didn't inform the pick-up spot very clearly so we almost missed the whole tour. So be careful to read all emails from start to end. The pickup place is in the end of one email not very clearly indicated.
Robert was very ecstatic guide, and offered very good descriptions during each stop. He was very clear on time, and ensured everyone had a good time. After such long drive, 2 hours at Blue Lagoon was such an relaxing experience. I guarantee you, you don't need more than 2 hours at Blue Lagoon also, if I were you, just go with Comfort because I only used my bathrobe once for premium and spent extra 5000K for another facial pack that lasted me 3 minutes. Only souvenior from the lagoon was sandals....
The tour guide was knowledgeable and informative. He gave us enough information to keep it interesting and had a good sense of humour. Good stories and facts. The places we visited were amazing, breathtaking and memorable.
We attended the tour on 14 Aug and the tour guide was extremely helpful and professional. Very good time managememt by tour guide, which enabled us to see lots of things amd have a relaxed time at Blue Lagoon.
