What people are saying about Beijing

Pretty good way to see the Great Wall at Mutianyu!

I took the 12 noon tour. We left a few minutes after 12 to wait for the other members of the group. The instructions on how to take the subway to the meeting point (Please take “Subway line 2” and get off at station “Dong Si Shi Tiao”(东四 十条). Following the signs for exit C, you will find yourself outside the Beijing Swissotel Hotel where the bus parking spot is just 50 meters to the east) were quite clear except the phrase "the bus parking spot is just 50 meters to the east." It would have been clearer to say "turn right and walk towards Chaoyangmen N St. The bus should be 50 meters to your right." The guide Mr Qiang spoke clearly and loudly in understandable English. He explained in details what to expect and provided those who did not book entrance and cable car tickets the opportunity to buy them through him. The bus was clean and nice. We had more than enough time to hike from Tower 14 to 20. I love the mountains behind the wall! The cable car line down was pretty long.

Great way to hit the tourist sites fast!

This tour was really interesting and hit all the major tourist attractions in one day while also providing some more cultural attractions in the form of jade and tea. Since I was on a tight schedule it was excellent to be able to see it all and still have enough time to enjoy the city on my own before leaving. Our tour guide was knowledgeable which brought the depth of history to the places we visited. One recommendation: get the cable car ticket. If you don't get it now, you'll end up buying it when you're there because otherwise it takes like an hour of uphill walking to reach anywhere nice on the Great Wall.

Really good tour to a not crowded part of the wall

The Mutianyu part of the wall is really a good part to visit especially in the afternoon! There are not many people there and our tour guide Tony was really helpful and gave us tips what to see at the wall. He also made sure that we knew our options of going up or down and we could buy the tickets directly via him. And on this tour you don't visit some shops which force you to buy stuff. I would give this tour even more than 5 stars if possible :)

Great tour, great value! Highly recommend!

We happened to hit Beijing during the Dragon Boat Festival, so Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City where very crowded, but we still enjoyed the sights. The Great Wall was amazing. Getting the cable car option is highly recommended. I’ve been to Badaling Great Wall, but I liked this (Mutianyu) site much better. The guide, Sabrina was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting facts about the sites we visited. Overall, 5-star tour!

A great experience in the Great Mutianyu

My husband and I were on a day trip to Mutianyu and we really had a great time there thanks to the perfect organization of the GetYourGuide tour and especially, thanks to our guide Steven. He was very helpful, kind and funny, and he told us a lot of interesting information about the Great Wall. We learnt a lot and we enjoyed every minute there. I would recommend this tour to anyone without any doubt.
