The museum has a range of exhibits to enjoy and is easy to navigate by yourself. We booked to attend the museum and added on the Maori cultural performance to our tickets after reading great reviews, the performance was fantastic, however for an extra $20pp (for a 30 min performance) it was possibly a bit steep on top of the $25pp to attend the museum alone. We also found out that a guided Highlights tour around the museum was an extra charge as well which seemed a bit much!

I absolutely love watching the Maori dance and sing. This was the best performance I have seen as the told the story to the dance so you knew what they were dancing and singing to. The group also did some jokes as well as showed the audience what types of weapons they had and what they were used for. I would definitely go back and see this performance again.
