This is a long trip (at least 4 hours each way from Athens and frequently longer because of work on the railway) but so worth it. This is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. The pictures don't even do it justice. The guide and driver were great. They give you the history and geology of the region. The driver was so kind in helping people get further out on rock formations to get pictures. This was one of my favorite parts of my trip to Greece. I highly recommend if you can take a long day.

Katarina (not sure how to spell it) was an AMAZING guide! She was able to explain relevant details about the monasteries and caves, answer all of our questions, and even include heartwarming personal stories. The driver also stopped along the way at spots with breathtaking views where we could enjoy and take photos. It was an incredible tour.
