Full description
During this independent 2-day trip you will have the opportunity to discover the wonders of Santorini, a Greek island in the South Aegean. Famous for its giant lagoon, breathtaking sunsets and contrasts of colors, this is truly the dream Greek holiday.

Day 1

We pick you up from your hotel in Athens and take you directly to the port where you will board a comfortable boat. During the cruise, you will see some beautiful islands, many of them uninhabited.

Upon arrival in Santorini, you will check-in to your hotel and then have the afternoon free to explore the island. Take a swim, enjoy the hospitality or indulge in the Greek specialties on offer.

Santorini was created due to a volcanic explosion 3,600 years ago. The explosion created sheer cliff tops and a lagoon that is 400 metres deep.

On the other side of the cliffs, the land slopes down to create fascinating beaches with colorful sands due to the volcanic content. You will have the chance to explore the Red Beach, the Black Beach and enjoy the gorgeous sunset over the Aegean Sea.

In the evening, take advantage of the great views at one of the excellent restaurants on the island, and enjoy the great nightlife on offer.

Day 2

Take advantage of the free morning to explore the main town of Fira with narrow winding streets.

With plenty of shops and local products on offer you will have no trouble finding the perfect gift for loved ones or more delightful food to savor.

In the afternoon we will sail back to Athens where our trip concludes.

Santorini is a beautiful island.

For a 2 day trip the 7 1/2 hour ferry ride each way is too much. To make the best of the trip a visit to one of the villages might be better than just a hotel at the beach. The accommodations for the hotel that we stayed at weren't great but the front desk clerk reluctantly agreed to give us a better room since the original room booking was not what we had anticipated.

Good idea but organisation needs to be improved

Santorini is worth a visit and at least two days are necessary. So far so good. All People we met were very friendly and the Hotel was great. What was not so good was that we did not know the Name on the Hotel in advance so we could not organise our stay in an optimal way. The taxi driver left as 0,5 Km far away from the Hotel and did not give us correct directions. It took us one hour to find the Hotel and then it was too late to get a bus to be able to watch the sunset in Fira. They should have given us the Name and address of the Hotel the latest when we took the Ferry. The Ferry needed 8 hours to reach Santorini so we had had enough time to search on the Internet where the Hotel was and what to do there. In the description of the excursion you say the afternoon is free to the guests. That was not exactly true, as the taxi went first to left some guests at a place one hour away from hour Hotel so we got to our destination at five and still had to find the Hotel ourselves.

Breakfast was fine as was the hotel, but the location was appalling, we were far from all the attractions. The transport service very good.
