Full description
Marvel at the famous Pont du Gard, dating back to the 1st century A.D. and listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is the most well preserved part of the Roman aqueduct that was built to supply Nimes with water.

On this 4.5-hour tour from Arles you’ll also stop to see the Roman monuments near St. Remy de Provence. The communal arch and the mausoleum were built in the 1st century. Nearby you can admire works by van Gogh, painted by the artist during his stay at the mental hospital of St. Paul de Mausole.

The picturesque medieval village of Les Baux de Provence is perched hill on a rocky outcropping, and is surrounded by thousands of olive trees which produce a well-known olive oil.

The historic hilltop citadel has been abandoned since the 17th century, giving Les Baux a surreal feeling. The shops, restaurants, and hotels are located in the small village below.

Tour was adequate for the area that we visited.

The review is not more positive because mixing full and half day tours was not optional for the guests. It places more stress on the driver to accommodate both types of tours within a given day and reduces the time at designated sites. For example, we expected more time at the Van Gogh sanitarium, but it was only a 15 photo stop. Also, the driver/guide needs more education and training in the history of the area.

Excellent, but would omit brief stop at St. Remy de Provance

Lacklustre tour

The lack of interest shown by the guide to give us anything more than the barest facts was palpable and obvious. She was late and then disengaged generally adding to a poor experience.
