Rich story and amazing sights - A must when visiting Rome

The Colosseum is a beast to behold - even without a guide this site is amazing and you should not miss it. Likewise, the Roman Forum is amazing, a mesh of ancient buildings and greenery which is quite unique and beautiful. Of course, everything is better with a good story, and this is where our tour guide, Barbara, really hit it home. She was attentive to the tourists, kept a constant smile and weaved one fascinating story after the other. We have been on several guided tours in Rome. It is a city rich with plenty of landmarks and things to see. Due to this, we believe that the tour guides were never forced to make an effort, as our experience was that most guides were bad when compared to places with less content. This does not hold true for Barbara, as she is an exceptional guide.

A good guide and skip the line essential.

Moira (?) made old Rome come alive with her passion for the Palatine area and knowledge. She was also very lovely. She kindly looked out for me without holding up group. Earphones fabulous! Skip the line booked tour wonderful. Those lining up had up to 4hrs to wait as Colosseum only takes 3000 at a time. Highly recommended.

In short: Laura was an exceptionally good guide!

Laura had very much knowledge of ancient Rome and was very proficient in strorytelling, bringing the old times vividly back to life! She took extremely good care of the group (regularly taking headcounts to assure the group remained complete), still keeping a good pace and manouvering us elegantly through the crowd. In the meantime she continued telling us strories, sometimes pointing us to details in the sculptures which she connected to the large historical events or movements that took place. It became quite clear that she must have been a very good teacher (latin, greece, ancient history) as well. We were very fortunate to have her as our guide. (Still feeling sorry that I wasn’t able to tip her decently)

Excellent tour , definitely take this tour if you are seeing colosseum

Our guide Claudia gave a great tour and was extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour.

Marco was superb, entertaining and inspiring, under crowded condition.

Easter week in Rome is always going to be difficult, and on top of that, I am partly deaf, and had jet lag. Marco overcame my tiredness, and patiently got us through the crowds (enormous), so we still had a entertaining and educational trip. Of course a better microphone for the guide, and prior warning to bring your own earphones for the deaf, could have made an excellent experience even better, but the rating still has to be 4.75 stars, thanks to Marco.
