Full description
You will meet the local tour guide next to the castle entrance, from where you will start your walking tour admiring the outside of the castle. You will discover this mighty structure which was built in the 16th century, as you listen to the ancient history of the city.

Through Europe and the Dauni Mountains, the cult of San Michele Arcangelo came to Monte Sant'Angelo, in whose name the sanctuary was carved into the rock. During the walking tour you will visit this Sanctuary, learning how in 2011 the city of Monte Sant'Angelo won the title of a UNESCO Site, and was finally included in the World Heritage List.

Your tour guide will lead you to discover the characteristic historic center, where you'll stroll through a neighborhood built in the Middle Age. As you stroll through the area of "Quartiere Junno", you will learn of its history. At the end of the walking tour you will taste delicious typical products of the Gargano.
