Full description
With an 8 AM pick up, you head to the east part of Antioquia. The first stop is a fruit stand on the road, brief but substantial as you are offered different exotic fruits you didn't even know existed with delicious sweet or sour flavors, including the chontaduro, tree tomato and lulo. The second stop is Replica Town where you will be able to see and feel what it was like to live in a flooded town. Your guide will tell you all of the history of this town and show some pictures of how it was before.

The third stop is a coffee plantation, one of the most authentic tours you can do in Colombia. Between the time coffee beans are planted, picked and purchased, they go through a typical series of steps to bring out their best. The coffee production stages you will see are planting, picking the ripe beans, de-pulping, fermenting and washing, drying, milling, and roasting. After this memorable visit to the coffee farm, you continue your journey to the Rock of Guatape, also known as Peñol. At this massive rock, you get the chance to climb up its 740 steps, taking you approximately 40-minutes to go up and down. Once you reach the top, you can stay up there for as long as you wish as you will get to witness one of the most beautiful views you have ever seen.

The fourth stop is Guatape Town, the city of Zocalos, one of the most colorful and picturesque towns in Colombia. How did this Zocalo tradition start and why? Take this tour and find out. You take a fully narrated walking tour through the town´s landmarks including the church, main square, remembrance street, and boardwalk. After a very enjoyable and informative day you head back home.

Absolutely amazing. Andres was on time, have a great description of the day. Allowed us to cater the day to our needs. Every stop was amazing. The rock was more difficult to clone then we originally thought but totally worth it once you got to the top. The coffee was delicious and the tour of the farm will blow your mind. Guatape was great, we could of definitely spent more time there. The food was awesome at the Guatape stop. I would 100% recommend this to anyone. The transportation was perfect.

Perfect way to get to know a coffee plantation, El Peñol and Guatapé

It was a perfect way to get to know Peñol, Guatapé and experience the complete process of how coffee comes to our hands. Our guide knew the history of places, the best places to take pictures and how far to eat well and at a good price. Knowing the coffee process was a lot of fun for our group, but especially experiencing it with our own hands. Our guide was very funny, we felt that a friend gave us the tour and gave us excellent recommendations for our stay in Medellin. We highly recommend this visit.
