Visit to Zuiderzeemuseum Enkhuizen from Amsterdam

- See, hear, taste and smell the past
- Enjoy a scenic train ride from Amsterdam
- Combine two museums in one day both indoors and outdoors
Walk through history at the open-air museum that covers 15 acres and accommodates authentic buildings from the former Zuiderzee region. Check out the church, a fish-curing shed, a mill, a cheese warehouse, shops and dwelling houses from the surrounding fishing villages. Help craftspeople in the Marker Harbor making nets, produce a rope at the rope-maker’s workplace, give the housemaid a hand, or enjoy a conversation with the ‘inhabitants’ from the former island of Urk.
Discover the treasure chamber of the Zuiderzee at the indoor museum. Journey through time with a plethora of unique exhibits that bring you from Enkhuizen along the Afsluitdijk and the Wadden Islands to places in Friesland and after that back to North Holland. Discover the largest collection of wooden ships in the Netherlands, as well as history, photography, traditional costume, design and an educational family exhibition.
Explore the rest of the village, or enjoy food in a local pub before journeying back to Amsterdam with your ticket that is valid for travel until midnight.
