I was surprised to arrive to be told an additional cash payment was required for tax. I'd been on similar previous tours which I think we're better even though I learnt a lot - it seems strange that, as far as I recall, we didn't actually see a lady in a window! The guide was excellent though, appeared very informed and had a nice style. I was very sorry to hear the tour may finish on 1 April 2020 as I had recommended to other visitors.

We did this tour on the 30th December and really enjoyed it, Alex was our guide. Alex was engaging and gave us really interesting information about the City, he was also open to answering any and all questions. We came away from this tour knowing a lot more about Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and how the sex and drug industries work. I would highly recommend doing the tour early on in your trip as the guide pointed out places of interest which you can visit later on.

David was an amazing guide and historian. He took us to many notable places in the Red Light District and had so much to say about the history, culture, and changes throughout the years. He had a very systematic approach to the tour which I really appreciated. It's a shame that Amsterdam will shut down RLD tours in April 2020 because I learned so much on this tour I would not have known exploring the area myself. I highly recommend this tour if you can do it before it shuts down.
