Full description
Hippie, stoner, and pothead are all negative stereotypes of ganja smokers that aren’t part of the marijuana culture in Amsterdam. Get an insight into the coffee shop culture and ganja scene in Amsterdam on a 2 or 2.5-hour guided walking tour.

The group tour begins outside the legendary Dam Palace, as you start your exciting introduction to the local world of cannabis at one of the oldest coffee shops in Amsterdam.

Your guide will take you on a walk through the streets of the city, walking to famous coffee shops, pubs, and secret medieval sites on the way that have passed the tour operator's quality check.

Visit 1 or 2 coffee shops during the 2-hour tour and a third coffee shop on the 2.5-hour tour. Then, discover a great Irish pub (O'Reilly's), walk down the legendary gay street Reguliersdwarsstraat, learn about history and drug policies, and explore the menus and samples from a few of the shops. The tour ends near the Rembrandtplein.

Your guide will be a current resident of Amsterdam and super knowledgeable about the best ganja finds in Amsterdam!

It was a fantastic tour. The guide was excellent, the best guide I’ve ever met actually. He told us a lot about Amsterdam history and culture, a lot of interesting things and funny stories. This 2-hour long tour gave me more than all the books I read and documentaries I watched. :) Also, the guide was very qualified and answered all my questions. It was a terrific experience. I’ve very satisfied and thankful.

Really good, our host was very informative and great to chat to and answer questions. It was a chilled day walking around the different coffee shops. Being female and older (in our 40's) and our first time we were made to feel really welcome and not awkward as we thought we might.

Had a fantastic time. Regret doing it near the end of our holiday, and wish we did it at the start as we learned so much about the city in such a short time! Definitely one of the highlights of our holiday, very chill and relaxing, and a whole variety of people were on the tour! Our guide was phenomenal and had information on everything we could have possibly asked him, he even gave us some samples from his chocolate shop in the centre of town. Would definitely recommend whoever is reading this to do it if you’re thinking about it, we got more than we could have expected.
