Full description
Discover the best of the countryside on the outskirts of Amsterdam on a leisurely 2.5.hour bike tour. Depart from Central Station, where you will be fitted with your bike, and pedal through the lowlands that surround the city.

Be amazed by the breathtaking landscapes as you pedal past traditional farms and discover how the Dutch have managed flooding with their network of polders (land reclaimed from the water). One third of the Netherlands lies below sea level, and over the centuries the Dutch have built dikes and polders to push back the water of the Zuiderzee.

Explore some of the traditional industries of rural Holland, such as cheese making, and marvel at the tallest wooden windmill in the country.

Nice bike tour of countryside

We were a group of 7, our guide (never told us his name but a nice enough guy) got us on bikes quickly and off we went. He just rides at the front and everyone follows. Every now and then he stops and explains a few things and you can take photos. There's a short ferry trip and you get to see some nice villages. I enjoyed just riding the bike. It is a shame there wasn't too much interaction with the group, would be nice to exchange hellos first, would make the trip more friendly. The tour is exactly what it says it is, nothing more, nothing less. Worth the money but you won't be blown away.

A lovely way to see the Dutch countryside, so near to Amsterdam.

I really enjoyed being on a bike and feeling well looked after by our guide Ilya. A free feeling, riding along, seeing very pretty villages and Dutch countryside, as well as taking the free ferry across from Central station. It was a marvellous time, and we stopped to have photo opportunities and to take breaks.

An incredible experience. The superamable and very friendly guide. Knowing the outskirts of the city with the bike group is that I recommend it at 100x100.
