Full description
Immerse yourself in the art and culture of Amsterdam on a full-day tour, including skip-the-line entry to the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum.

Start in the Museum Square district and see masterpieces of art at the Van Gogh Museum. Your guide will take you to some of the most prominent paintings of the Dutch master, as well as show you some of the letters and drawings that chronicle his life. Displays of art by other artists chart the influence Van Gogh had on a variety of 19th-century painters.

After your guided tour, you are free to browse the museum shop and enjoy lunch in the museum’s café. Next, cruise the picturesque canals of Amsterdam´s Canal Belt to see stunning bridges, canal barge houses, churches, merchant houses and more.

Then, skip the long lines to the Rijksmuseum for a private tour of the recently renovated galleries and discover art works that date back to 1200 up to the present day. Marvel at masterpieces, such as Vermeer’s “Milkmaid” and Rembrandt’s “Night Watch.” Boasting a collection of some 1 million items, the Rijksmuseum is a treasure chest for art lovers and the curious alike.

End your tour outside Coster Diamonds, one of the oldest still-working diamond polishing factories in the city, where you will get a free entrance ticket to the Diamond Museum to learn more about Amsterdam’s diamond trade on your own.

We had a wonderful, full day. It was exactly what we wanted.

Michael was a great tour guide for both the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. It really helped that we used an audio system. We never missed anything that was said. He also had all the tickets for us so we didn’t have to wait in line. You could tell he had a great passion for the subjects. We spent just enough time everywhere. The walk down to get on the boat was nice to stretch our legs. Loved the boat ride and being able to hear the audio available in many languages. I would definitely recommend this tour to get a quick taste of Amsterdam in a day.

Excellent organization combining history with fun

A highly recommended tour not tiring despite the long duration. Monique our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun taking care of all of us. We enjoyed every minute of our tour if there was one thing to change that would be have a shorter lunch break and add 20 minutes on the Van Gogh museum that was a bit rushed. Great experience thank you

Teneke was a first class happy person and guide. Our dissapointment was that it was too long and came very boring because everything was repeatedly constantly in several different languages which made it very long and tiresome but we still enjoyed and our tour leader was most excelent. It was a very long day because everywhere was necessarily extended repeatedly going through differnent languges to describe the same thing and having to rush through English to go through the same story in a different language. It would have been same for non English , but seemed everybody on the tour were English competent anyhow. Whist our tour guide Tenike couldn’t have been better, more informed and a delightful person . We would recommend her highly but we wouldn’t recommend the tour because it gets too boring and time wasting. If the whole tour had been done in say English it would have been superb and could either be shortened or see a lot more.
