Then head to Volendam to visit a local cheese producer and learn from the cheese master about the production of Edam and Gouda cheeses.

This was an enjoyable excursion, taking us out of Amsterdam and into the countryside. The choice of locations and the timing dedicated to them was just right. We were met at the designated starting point by our extremely welcoming and informative guide. The itinerary was fully explained and we were put at our ease. We have experienced walking groups where we were left behind due to a mobility issue but this didn’t happen here and we truly felt a part of the group.

The weather was unfortunately terrible the day we went, however our tour guide Annabelle more than made up for this. She was funny and had lots of great information about each location. I would suggest checking the weather before booking but definitely worth doing. Best thing we did in Amsterdam

The actual site stops were worth the tour. However, the meet up location wasn’t 100% clear. One person was inadvertently left behind at one of the stops. Guide’s microphone, on the bus, only worked part of the time. Bus was so crowded my partner and I couldn’t sit together.
