Fabulous tour, great guide, excellent lunch. Recommended!

We were thrilled with this tour. The guide, Ana, was friendly and knowledgable - and able to give the tour in English, Spanish, Portuguese and German! We had an efficient yet relaxed pace. The bus was new and comfortable, with good temperature control. Many of us had read an earlier review about the lunch being of poor quality, and so we had low expectations. However, the restaurant was lovely with excellent service and food. We were given bread and fresh cheese to start, a rich vegetable-noodle soup, AMAZING hake fish with vegetables and salad, and a wonderful tiramisu-like dessert with water, wine and coffee. Every dish was delicious. We enjoyed the other people in our group. We did get back to Lisbon a bit later than expected, but no one seemed to mind. We would recommend this trip to anyone who would like to see a lot in a relatively short time (10-11 hours). Thanks again for a great day!

The guide was incompetent. Her explanationsa in English were minimal,

Predominantly in Portuguese. At times ignoring my guestions in English. At the begining she did not use microphone in the bus, could not here her. If I did not take flyers in every church I would not know anything about what I saw. Directions where the bus would expect us upon return at times were not given, nor was the time for washrooms given. Luckily there were kind owners of the Restaurants who let us in. Time for the main event Fatima was too short, 1 hour. There was no need, if we were running behind, which probably was the case, to stop for 1/2 hour at shopping plaza at the entrance of Fatima. Places we have seen were amazing, when I took the tour in English I expected it to be only in English not in 3 languages. Tourists should have been properly divided by languages and they were not - bad organization.

Well organised, friendly and helpful guide, enough time

Absolutely fantastic trip from Lisbon to Fatima. The three stops on the way provided great breaks to the otherwise tedious bus ride. The included 3 course lunch was excellent. Spacious clean modern restaurant with plenty of food, wine and dessert. The menu was obviously seafood based and nothing fancy but the taste and abundance made up for this. Very helpful guide who was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended

An enjoyable, well organized, full-day tour

A very pleasant, well organized and informative full-day tour. We visited Obidos, Batalha, Nazare and Fatima. Our tour leader Elena was knowledgeable, disciplined time-wise and friendly. She also found time to address each of us personally. The lunch included was very tasty abundant. This gave us time to mingle with all the other people in the tour.

The trip content was enjoyable, the logistics needs improvement

We enjoyed the places of interest included in the tour. The information commentary was fine and the guide did a great job in both Portuguese and English. Comfortable bus. GrayLine's organisation skills however need some work. The tour left 30 min late and lost another 40 min over the course of the day, making a 10 hour day, 11 hours.
