Full description
Day 1: Alice Springs to Uluru

Your first stop for the day will be a working outback camel farm, where you’ll have the chance to lope through the outback on a "ship of the desert". Kata Tjuta pops up with 36 different domes on its landscape, and you’ll get to know the site pretty well on an afternoon hike following lunch. As evening begins, you can enjoy a glass of bubbles as the sun sets over Uluru, casting incredible colors over the rock. Afterwards, it will be time to tuck into the famous "1,000 Star Dinner", an outdoor candlelit feast of delicious food and wine.

Day 2: Uluru Sunrise and Kings Canyon

An early start this morning is rewarded with an Uluru sunrise. While the morning is fresh, you can enjoy a walk around the base of the rock, gaining insights into the land and the local Mala people on an interpretive cultural walk with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander guide. Once you’ve had lunch, you can purchase some art and craft from the First People of Australia, at the Uluru Cultural Centre. Next, travel onto the exclusive campsite within Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), where the group will eat and sleep for the night.

Note: Total driving time today is around 3.5 hours, with a total walking time of approximately 2 hours (or up to 4 if you do the full 8.5-kilometer base walk).

Day 3: Kings Canyon rim walk

The centerpiece attraction of Watarrka is undoubtedly Kings Canyon; a humongous gorge enclosed by sheer rock walls hundreds of meters high. Offering a welcome escape from the dry desert heat, this site’s deep gullies and hidden rock pools provide shelter to more than 600 species of native plants and animals. Your guide will point these out on a guided trek that takes in the canyon’s most famous sites. Together you will explore the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, the Amphitheatre, and the North and South Walls. Afterwards it will be time for lunch and some rest, before you head back to Alice Spring for farewells.

Note: Total driving time takes around 5 hours, with a total walking time of approximately 3 hours.
