A somewhat packed program, but very eventful.

We were picked up on time by the cruise ship and drove with a minibus and a very nice tour guide. The program was very extensive and we would have liked more time at some stops. The lake, the adjacent volcanic landscape with surface activity and the natural pool were particularly worth seeing. On the way we could enjoy the great landscape. In the end we were dropped back on time at the ship. Cheap and worthwhile alternative to the excursions of the cruise lines.

The guide was very knowledgeable and planned our day in order to avoid the crowds. We were in a small group of 16 on a minibus, so we were able to explore some hidden gems where the coaches didn’t go. A spectacular day and back in plenty of time to pick up our cruise.

We had rain and wind but despite the cold the guide was informed and I marveled at the landscape. It is majestically surreal. My only issue is that again we did not have enough time between the sites. Though given the weather condition I guess it worked out.
