What people are saying about Ait Souka
In the beginning there was a little misunderstanding about the pick-up point (it never turned who misunderstood whom after all, but this can be easily improved, as the participants need to submit their phone numbers when registering to the tour, so somebody should store these numbers and call the participant real-time, if there is a misunderstanding) but our guide, Mustapha handled very well the atmosphere, he made sure that all participants felt comortable when we hit the road. The camel ride was super exciting and entertaining with authentic clothing and all, the stop at the argan cooperative was OK, but the product demonstration was a bit long for me, the tour in the mountains was like a travel to a hidden, mystic part of the world. Mustapha was very enthusiastic, as he was from that Berber region, so the info he shared was clearly coming from the heart. The waterfall is beautiful. The Berber Tajine by the local house was the best Tajine we had in our whole Moroccan trip.
We had an amazing day trip with an attentive and helpful guide. Rachid - the guide - was telling a lot about the history and economics of the berber people. He was very kind and always cheerful even when we started to get tired. We visited an argan oil cooperative, went to a camel ride in a small valley, had a quick look on a berber market (only on Saturdays) and went hiking. In the mountains we visited a waterfall, had a nice walk in the forest and had a traditional three course lunch with an exceptional view in a guesthouse. Totally recommended
Younis picked us up at the stated time in a well maintained and spotless mini van. His driving all day felt very safe. Mustapha was our guide for the day. He was very knowledgeable about Berber and Morrocan history. His love and passion for his community made the trip special. The walk to the falls was at a gentle pace, stopping to take lots of photos. Lunch was an excellent 3 course meal nicely presented. The camel ride made a lovely end to a great day out. Communication before the trip was very prompt answering and confirming details.
This was a lovely tour where we really got to learn and see some great morrocan sites! Our tour guide Said was exceptional- he was really friendly, funny and enthusiastic and really took the time to know everyone individually. Seeing the women who made argan oil was enlightening and the homemade tagine for lunch may have been the best meal of my holiday! Definitely a tour not to be missed! Only thing to note is there is a lot of hiking so comfy shoes are a must! Would highly recommend.
We started the day with a camel ride led by Mustafa who had a very great personality and able to communicate in many languages during our camel ride. Then we were off to the Atlas Mountains where our guide, Ibrahim, a local, was probably the most brilliant and humble guide of all time. Highly recommend!
