What people are saying about Adriatic Coast, Montenegro

Beautiful tour, but wish Croatian guide was better

PROS: - The pickup was on time and the coach was comfortable. Our local Montenegrin guide Slavica was excellent; she was extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything patiently and thoroughly at Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor. - The sights were beautiful; the scenery in Montenegro is unlike any we've seen. CONS: - Our Croatian tour guide (who was in charge while we were inside the coach) Marinara was constantly on edge and rushed, and did not allow us to have a relaxed tour at all. She was very loudly chatting with the coach driver constantly—literally NON-STOP throughout the several hours we spent in the coach, both to and from—and this made it impossible for any of us to relax and enjoy. On the way back, everyone was tired and wanted to take a nap before we reached Dubrovnik, but Marinara's incessant loud talking made that impossible. Also, whenever we asked her for any information, she did not reply properly. - The coach driver didn't drive smoothly at all.

Beautiful scenery, a perfect mix of guided parts with free time and great guides. Most of the journey is by bus, but there is also a boat trip in the most beautiful part of Kotor Bay. The main tour guide (whose name I have sadly forgotten) was great and spent the day guiding in English and Spanish and of course also speaking Croatian and Montenegrian, which was very impressive. the sights in Perast and Kotor are well worth a visit and the pictures do not so it justice. There is enough time to eat and drink and explore and buy souvenirs. There is also an additional local guide in Montenegro who was great. Unfortunately, she did not speak Spanish so for the Spanish with no English on the tour they had a problem for this part, however, the main guide was always speaking both languages fluently. Don't miss this tour if you are in the area.

Good day trip to Montenegro. Pick up was on time, however, I wish the company would have contacted me to let me know in advance this was not going to be an english tour (which I booked), but spanish. It was not a pb for me, as I understand spanish and the guide/driver made sure to also translate for me part of the commentary, which is very much appreciated. However, if I would have been with any of my friends, this would be an issue, as none of them understands spanish. Apart from that, everything was wonderful, Montenegro is stunning! I was expecting the boat ride to be a bit longer though, as this is advertised as "boat trip to Kotor and Perast" tour. Small boat was just to Our Lady of the Rocks island and then from there to Perast. Perast and Kotor are both wonderful and have a relaxed athmosphere.

This was a great trip through Select Agency. We were in a minibus so not a huge group which made everything manageable. The absolute best part of this trip was the 40-minute long boat trip from Perast to Kotor - such beautiful scenery and helpful info from our guides. I would have scored this 5 except they messed up our pick up. I eventually called when they were about half an hour late only to discover they had picked up the wrong people without checking names so they had to come back for us. I feel sorry for the couple that was offloaded. They must have missed their trip. But all in all an absolute treat of a day.

We spent around 10-20 minutes only at border checkpoint and this was due to the end of the season as we went in early October. We were picked up at the specific location and time as mentioned to us and dropped off at the same location on return. We returned by 5 pm to Dubrovnik.
