What people are saying about Acre, Israel
We had an amazing time seeing so many beautiful sites of northern Israel! Our host Yuval was awesome and so knowledgeable about the country, traditions and history of the country! Would definitely recommend this trip! Although it was a lot to fit in , in one day, our guide did an fantastic job of covering so many sites and provided so much info and even added in a few surprises! Yuval also had a great personality and an awesome sense of humor which made things so much fun! Our bus driver Moti also did a fantastic job of getting us where we needed to go safely! Highly recommend this tour! My favorite part were the grotto caves in Akko! Definitely bring some shekels for your meal, souvenirs and a nice tip for your guide and driver! Thanks for such a great day! Galit
This trip is good for those people who appreciate history, who love seeing the people carrying on their lives. You will hear about Herod the Great all the time, it will be with you, get some good history lessons before the trip...you will enjoy it more and perhaps will ask interesting question to the activity! For this reason I love Caesarea...Baha'i gardens in Haifa are just beautiful and luscious, i would add surreal. Rosh Hanikra and Lebanon so close to Israel. Acre is interesting, the mess hall amazing, great shots if you bump your ISO inside the rooms. All in all very good!
Fantastic tour-visiting those places are highly recommended for anyone who is into history and archaeology. There aren’t many places where you can see roman mosaic and crusader fortresses at the very same spots. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, really enjoyed listening to the history of Israel. One thing that was a bit odd for a european: at the end of the tour we felt like we were pushed for tips a bit too harshly. But other than that it was a genuinely fantastic and very enjoyable tour.
At the very end as we were taken from the larger bus to a smaller one for hotel drop offs, the driver left us 3 blocks from our hotel - seemingly because he had to get gas- not sure. He was brusque and annoying. A disappointing end to an otherwise excellent day.
I wanted to learn the history but didn't get a chance to read the information. There was no time to shop or look around. No information regarding Haifa and the buildings surrounding the town
