Full description
Day 1: You leave Aberdeen and head through the Cairngorms National Park. The scenery in this area is beautiful, and you stop for photo opportunities and a refreshment break at Tomintoul. Your journey continues towards Inverness. Around this area, your driver-guide will pick a place for you to enjoy a local lunch. Do not relax too much after your meal, because now it’s time for the monster hunting. You travel alongside Loch Ness to Urquhart Castle. Here you disembark and have the time to scale the ruined ramparts, investigate a huge catapult, and learn about the ancient communities who lived on the banks of Loch Ness. You then travel a short distance to Fort William; your home for the next two nights, and a place boasting awe-inspiring views of Britain’s tallest mountain.

Day 2: You start the day by travelling south to the Corran Ferry. This may be the shortest boat trip you ever take; it lasts only five minutes, and it looks like you could swim across the water. Once back on dry land, you’re treated to the beautiful Morvern Peninsula, one of Scotland’s best kept secrets. You travel through classic west Highland Scottish vistas to your next ferry of the day. This one takes you over the Sound of Mull to Fishnish. From this point, you travel to Tobermory. You have time here to take the perfect photo of this colourful, archetypal Scottish port town and sample some of the local cuisine for lunch. The rest of your time on Mull is spent travelling around the beautiful beaches, waterfalls, and landscapes. Your driver-guide will ensure you make the most of your time here. After you’ve had your fill of this fine island, you travel back to Fort William and arrive back in time for dinner.

Day 3: The start of your day is packed with some of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes. You first travel from Fort William to Glenfinnan. This area boasts a beautiful memorial that stands as a testament to the beginning of the Jacobite Rising in 1745. In the same location, you can see the Jacobite Steam Train bridge that featured in the Harry Potter movies. You then travel to Glencoe. This valley is famous for being one of the most stunning landscapes in Scotland. As you travel through the sharp inclines, your guide will tell you the treacherous tale that has become notorious throughout the nation. Then you travel to Tyndrum. This little Highland village lies at the southern end of the eerily beautiful Rannoch Moor. You have time here to walk around and grab a bite to eat. As you venture east, you take in the two of Scotland’s most iconic locations of scenic beauty; the Trossachs National Park and Highland Perthshire.
You arrive back in Aberdeen in the evening.
