Discover Düsseldorf's amazing 'Wehrhahn Line', described by the New York Times as 'art and magic in a German metro'. With the help of your expert local guide, explore this fascinating subway line. Learn how the design concept for the six subway stations was developed and executed by different artists in conjunction with the subway engineers. Marvel at each station with its own distinctive character with striking painted, sculptural, interactive, acoustic or geometric features. Visit some of the most well-known stations along the line, include Pempelforter Straße, Schadowstraße, Heinrich-Heine-Allee, Benrather Straße and Kirchplatz. Please note: to take part in the guided tour, you must be in possession of a subway ticket (included in the DüsseldorfCard).

The tour was surprising, impressive and full of information.

Our guide, Mr. Vetekamp, told exciting stories and peppered his lecture with a lot of insider knowledge as a native of Düsseldorf and a lot of specialist knowledge about the Wehrhahn line and the artists involved. The tour lasted longer than expected, probably because he had so much to report. We enjoyed it very much and can only recommend this tour.

Am Sonntagmorgen habe ich mich spontan entschieden mich durch die Wehrhahn-Linie führen zu lassen...und nach knapp 2 Stunden habe ich wieder einmal eine neue Seite von Düsseldorf kennengelernt...leider waren waren wir nur zwei Teilnehmer:in... Mit anderen Worten, ich kann diese Führung allen Düsseldorfer:innen die an ihrer Stadt interessiert sind wärmstens empfehlen!
