Full description
Travel deep into Zululand and meet a renowned battlefields storyteller. Your first stop is the stage of the Battle of Isandlwana. Here a portion of British troops were overwhelmed by 20,000 Zulu warriors. Then, visit Rorke's Drift where 120 soldiers mounted a courageous defence and defeated more than 3000 Zulus. 11 Victoria Crosses were awarded, the most in British history for a regiment for a single action.  Learn about the history as well as the new revelations from your knowledgable guide. Isandlwana is to this day the battle in which the British suffered the highest number of casualties at the hands of a native army but also where they showed extraordinary courage. Continue to your final stop is at Fugitives Drift before heading back to Durban.
