Full description
Take this tour to learn about the history of Dubrovnik and see the filming locations of scenes from the hit show, Game of Thrones. The first stop of this tour is Pile Bay. Have a beautiful view of Fort Lawrence which was depicted as the Red Keep in the show. From Pile Bay, head to the main entrance gate of the old town, Pile Gate. Used as a filming location for riots, this area was closed off to the public during its use. Fortunately, it's now open and you'll be able to walk through it as your guide tells you important details and historical facts about how it's changed over the centuries.  Enter the main street and walk past monuments in which your guide will explain their significance and origins. See the Franciscan Monastery, Onofrio Fountain, and St. Saviors Church. Get off the beaten track and see the hidden corners locals frequent and see the town from a different perspective.  Walk down a side street that hides many interesting stories from the past that will make you feel like you're living in the history of old Ragusa. Stumble upon Gothic Rector's Palace and gaze at what is arguably the most beautiful building in Dubrovnik with its Venetian details. Finally head to the location of one of the show's most iconic scenes. See the walk of shame steps that appear much smaller than they are in the show. Hear from your guide about details of filming and difficulties experienced to gain a much deeper knowledge of the show's production.

We loved this tour! It was a perfect introduction to the city of Dubrovnik. We were the only ones that day, but our guide Sonia was absolutely fantastic, felt like walking around with an old friend. She gave us all the history on the old town and showed us all the important Game of Thrones filming locations. She did a great job of explaining everything, whilst keeping it interesting and with lots of humour. Would absolutely recommend this tour to appreciate the city you're visiting, great to really understand the culture and history.

Really liked the walk. Jelena was a enthousiastic judge. She knew a lot of dubrovnik and game of thrones. She is actually a local who used to live in the old city and she took part in the filming of GOT as a figurant. She tells you a lot of intereseting facts about the city's history and she is also a real GOT fan and shows/tells al the details of Dubrovnik as a filming set (scènes, camera angles, behind the scène stories, ...) I would really recommend this walk

Really good informative tour with our guide Jelena! She was clearly very enthusiastic which came across in the tour. We saw lots of Game of Thrones filming sites with a great mix of filming stories and information about the history of Dubrovnik Old Town. We had all questions answered well by Jelena, including great restaurant recommendations!
