Full description
Start your tour with complimentary pick-up from your hotel or nearest possible location to your accommodation in Dubrovnik from 07:00 AM to 07:45 AM. Once everyone has been picked up, drive by bus or van to the Croatian/Montenegrin border crossing. After border control is done, enjoy a coffee break, at your own expense, before heading to the port, where you will embark on a boat to start your adventure. The boat will first take you to the artificial island of Our Lady of the Rocks to visit the beautiful monument in the heart of the bay. From there, proceed to the old town of Kotor, the most important Venetian port built on this side of the Adriatic coast with impressive 4.5-kilometer long city walls, that have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979. Kotor is unique for several reasons. It is located on the only natural fjord of its kind in the world. Visiting Kotor is about more than beautiful views, it’s also about experiencing the cultural heritage of Boka Kotorska Bay. When you arrive, you will have around 2.5 hours of free time to see the most important monuments in the old town. From Kotor, continue your tour by coach and visit the charming town of Perast. Here, enjoy some free time for lunch and for a walk in the small beautiful village. Enjoy the Venice-like architecture which includes sixteen Baroque palaces, seventeen Catholic churches, several important Orthodox structures and a series of nine defensive towers, all set in stone and seemingly untouched. Return back to Dubrovnik from Perast by air conditioned bus or van. You will be dropped off from where you were picked up in the morning.

Our tour company collected passengers from around a dozen bus-stops spread across Dubrovnik and we were driven to Perast to join the boat that took us to Our Lady of the Rocks. The visit to Our Lady island was long enough to visit the Chapel and Museum etc before cruising to Kotor. On the bus or on the boat we had English-speaking guides to explain the histories and the points of interest. After a few hours to explore the lovely city of Kotor, we returned on the boat to Perast and then on the bus to Dubrovnik.

Good Tour, Driver and Guide shame about the Border Crossing

The Tour was lovely. The driver picked us up promptly and we were driven to the first of stop in Perast, then we meet our guide who took us on a boat ride across to the island with a church and Museum (Our Lady of the Rocks). We then proceeded on Boat to Kotor Town and our guide gave use a brief tour before we had a few hours to explore the town. Our guide was friendly and helpful and very very chatty. We were then picked up by the driver and when we reached the border check point it took two hours. This was no fault of the driver just politics and lazy officials so can't fault this tour. Good to see another country and would recommend but make sure you have plenty of time to get back in case you get stuck at the border like us.

    Well Orchestrated Tour

The pick up process went smoothly and the tour guide Tiana did a very good job in managing the itinerary. The only hiccup was the electronic voucher stated the drop off would be at the destination, hence no hotel drop off. Of course, it was not true, but it was very confusing and disturbing for me as group leader of six seniors. I wish GetYourGuide will soon correct this type of mid-representation.
