Full description
The tour begins at the first light of the sun as you walk through a maze of narrow streets while the town is still sleeping. Departing from the main entrance gate next to Amerling Fountain, the first stop is for the magnificent view at Fort Lovrijenac where you’ll get an introduction to its rich history. The walk continues over the shiny main street Stradun that you can only see empty this early in the morning. Get a real feel for its beauty and hear about the many legends and curiosities to get a more picturesque presentation of the city’s history. Using side streets known mainly by the locals, the tour covers all the highlights of the city including St Blaise's Church and Dubrovnik Cathedral. Take the opportunity to experience the life of the citizens living in the Old Town before the tour finishes, just as the crowds start to emerge.

Jelena did an absolutely fantastic job showing my wife and I around old town. She shared a ton of information about small quirks and spots to check out around the city, as well as brief historical synopsis of many of the town’s churches and fortresses. We’d absolutely recommend this tour to anyone beginning their stay or visit in Dubrovnik.

This was a very enjoyable walk with young woman guide who grew up in Dubrovnik and majored in history at university. Consequently, we came away with an understanding of the city’s unique history and past as well as an understanding of what daily life is like now. Thank you very much!

I highly recommend this tour to begin your exploration of Dubrovnik. Michaela was very knowledgeable and very insightful. She had so many things to share and she did it so well in the short time we have.. This tour gave me good overall idea of how i wanted to spend the rest of my time here..
