Full description

Join a guided walking tour and traverse the famous city walls of Dubrovnik, a beautiful reminder of distant medieval times. Marvel at breathtaking views as you walk the 2-kilometer wall surrounding the town and see for yourself why the Old City of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dubrovnik has preserved its city walls despite changing trends that once suggested any types of fortifications are obsolete and redundant.

Admire the terracotta roofs and narrow streets from above. In addition, enjoy the clear vista over the Adriatic sea, revealing just about any boat on the horizon. This view explains why the city was successfully defended for centuries.

The town survived many wars, including the recent Homeland War from 1991-1995, but Dubrovnik was renewed in a manner that the damage is not visible.

Find out why the city of Dubrovnik has inspired artists, writers and photographers as you explore the ancient Mediterranean city and wander along the elegant walls.

The tour was well worth the money. The guide provided many insights and personal stories which made everything very interesting. So much history but given in chunks easy to digest and keep your attention. I would never want to walk the walls without the input of a local like our guide.

We were a small group of 6 (including guide), hence the tour felt very personal and we moved easily along the walls. Our guide Desa was simply wonderful - highly recommend. Very insightful, good sense of humour, and clear communication throughout. Did not feel rushed or shunted along at any point, plenty of time to take pictures or linger a moment. Our tour came to its close at sunset in the perfect location atop the Minceta tower - really quite stunning skies. Note the tour does not include the ticket for the Walls - you need to buy this beforehand or at the beginning of the tour.

Wonderful views inside and outside the walls from a high position above the city and interesting history. Didn’t realise how steep the steps up and down were - something to consider if you have any mobility or knee issues. Refreshment stops available along the way. Bring a good hat and water.
