Full description

Join a guided walking tour and traverse the famous city walls of Dubrovnik, a beautiful reminder of distant medieval times. Marvel at breathtaking views as you walk the 2-kilometer wall surrounding the town and see for yourself why the Old City of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dubrovnik has preserved its city walls despite changing trends that once suggested any types of fortifications are obsolete and redundant.

Admire the terracotta roofs and narrow streets from above. In addition, enjoy the clear vista over the Adriatic sea, revealing just about any boat on the horizon. This view explains why the city was successfully defended for centuries.

The town survived many wars, including the recent Homeland War from 1991-1995, but Dubrovnik was renewed in a manner that the damage is not visible.

Find out why the city of Dubrovnik has inspired artists, writers and photographers as you explore the ancient Mediterranean city and wander along the elegant walls.

Very informative from the best history major guide Ignes (not sure if im correct). Not only were the walls surrounding the city beautiful, but the history behind all that helped me better understand the city's nature and its magnificent resilience. Loved every moment of it, especially our guide took me the best profile picture at the viewpoint!

The city walls are really interesting and the views are spectacular, especially over the rooftops at sunset. There are lots and lots of steps, so be prepared. Our guide Michaela, was very friendly, and happy to answer questions, on topics ranging from the Yugoslavian War to Game of Thrones. I've knocked one star off because it's not made very clear that you also have to pay the £20+ cost to access the walls on top of the cost of the guide. £40 for a tour of the walls is pretty steep.

Our guide Deja was extremely informative and led us at a pace that worked for everyone. She made an effort to keep us in the shade whenever possible, and to point out many interesting facts and history along the way. She was exceptional, and we were so glad that we chose to have a guide, rather than walk the walls ourselves without the benefit of hearing the rich history along the way!
