As you step through the gates of Dubrovnik’s old city walls, you will be taking a step back in time, losing yourself in the grandeur and beauty of this culturally influential city. Beginning at Pile Gate, at the storied western entrance to the Old Town, your local guide will lead you to Dubrovnik’s most significant historical landmarks (you won't enter any churches or museums). See Large Onofrio's Fountain, Orlando’s Column, Rector’s Palace, and many more. • Dubrovnik: Half-Day Cave and Beach Tour with Lunch

    2. Dubrovnik: Half-Day Cave and Beach Tour with Lunch

Admire beautiful caves and the stunning sea on a 4-hour journey from Dubrovnik around Croatia's coast aboard a boat. Relax and enjoy drinks as you admire panoramic views of Croatia, picturesque caves, and beaches. Stop at the famous Blue Cave where you can jump into the water to swim or snorkel. Next, visit three more caves before relaxing on Šunj's sandy beach for an hour — one of the most famous beaches in the Dubrovnik region. Explore the open decks that allow you to feel the cooling sea breeze and while enjoying the striking blue waters of the sea that provide perfect photo opportunities.

Great time with a small group of strangers. A short trip around Kolocep island to explore caves. The first trio of caves is riveting, with the first one giving you an adrenaline rush, a little bit of danger but all worthy when you need Instagram material. Visiting the sandy beach comes in as a second stop and followed by the blue/green cave as your last stop. There are unlimited water and soft drinks, and the lunch for the day is a school sandwich. I advise using the sandy beach visit to get some čevapi or fried squid at the beach bar.

Enjoy a sandwich or fruit snack and a bottle of water. The sunset option ends with a glass of wine.

  • Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour with Photo

    5. Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour with Photo

Follow in the footsteps of your favorite "Game Of Thrones" characters and discover what the real "King's Landing" looks like. Dubrovnik was selected as the location set for the hit HBO TV series in seasons 2 to 5 (and some of season 6). Your guide is licensed by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, fluent in English, and a big "Game of Thrones" fan. In addition to sites in the walled old town, visit the Fort of St. Lawrence. As you journey to each location, look at a book of photos from the series that explains the scenes and locations where filming took place.

The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining - so much more information than we expected. Would highly recommend this tour

  • Dubrovnik Full-Day Tour from Split or Trogir

    6. Dubrovnik Full-Day Tour from Split or Trogir

Explore the walled Old Town of Dubrovnik and learn about the maritime Republic of Ragusa on a guided tour of the monuments of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire Renaissance and Baroque architecture within the 2-kilometer long defensive walls and stroll down the central Stradun. See one of the oldest pharmacies in the world at the Franciscan Church and Monastery and visit the Rector's Palace and Fort Lovrijenac. Get ample photo opportunities on the pedestrianized streets, and use your free time to take the cable car to the top of Srđ Hill. Take in the magnificent views of Dubrovnik and the archipelago, or stroll around the Old Town at leisure.

The day trip from Split to Dubrovnik was a joy. Dubrovnik is a gorgeous place, which can easily get overcrowded, due to its small size (the Old Town). Even in mid September, it was hot. The Old Town can be enjoyed from the city walls, but this requires a good shape, since it is quite a hike. The cable car ride is very much worth it also. The view from the mountain is amazing. The road trip from Split is also beautiful, especially the second part, as the Dubrovnik area looks amazing. I found the guided tour part too long (1 hour), as a lot of information is available and can be read by those interested. After that I had to run from one place to another in the remaining 3 hours, and I had not enough time left to enjoy a proper lunch, all the more that most places were crowded. Overall, given the context, the trip with Gray Lines was excellent, well organized, in A/C minivans (participants were split in 2 smaller groups). Border crossing went smoothly.

  • Dubrovnik: 2-Hour Sunset Cruise with Dinner

    7. Dubrovnik: 2-Hour Sunset Cruise with Dinner

Climb aboard the 16th-century wooden ship “Karaka” for a romantic sunset dinner cruise in Dubrovnik. Relax under a starlit sky, and enjoy breathtaking views of Dubrovnik’s fortifications and red-tiled roofs. Marvel at islands twinkling in the twilight, such as Lokrum just off the coast. Listen to the ambient sounds of background music as your dinner is served. Dine on a menu of Dalmatian cuisine: Chicken Pasta Salad with Peas Smoked Dalmatian Ham Caprese Salad Grilled Chicken Filets Grilled Pork Filets Grilled Fish Filets Vegetable Risotto Potato Salad Fresh Seasonal Salads Home Made Cake Taste fresh seasonal fruit, and sip champagne under the moonlight!

It was a romantic cruise. Essentially around Lokrum Island in the bay of Dubrovnik. The sunset was spectacular. The wooden boat, a Karaka, was a replica of historical ships used for trading. It has sails unfurled in the photos, but not on the cruise, only diesel powered. The food was a seafood buffet was extensive and sufficient. Dessert was also scrumptious. The price tag was, compared with restaurant food in Dubrovnik on the high side. The staff went the extra mile to contact us. Overall an enjoyable evening.

Start the day early as your hosts greet you at the Marina Frapa Dubrovnik and take you on a seafaring adventure. Soak up the sun as you ride towards Mljet island and the first stop of the day, the Odysseus Cave. Dive into the pristine blue water uninterrupted by the city crowds before continuing to Blace Beach, said to resemble the moon's surface due to the unique color of the sand. The next stop is at the charming little island Šipan, one of the Elaphiti Islands, small by size but very rich in history. Following Šipan, you will visit the most famous sandy beach in the Dubrovnik area where you can swim, snorkel, relax, and even have lunch in a restaurant by the sea. The journey continues after about two hours when the crew will take you to the Blue Cave of Kolocep Island to take one more dip in the crystal clear blue waters. We visited Dubrovnik during 2020 coronavirus pandemic. The city had much fewer visitors than ever, therefore me and my husband were the only ones joining the tour. Even so, Sonja was very kind and carried on the tour just for us. She was very knowleadgeable about the GoT movie, but also she offered some historic facts about the city, at our request, and even gave us some tips to help us during our stay. Thank you very much for this experience, it was unique! All the best!
