Great way to get around town. Very reasonable price. Driver really makes the experience. One driver was really enjoyable - told history of sights, suggestions best way to get tickets for sights, very entertaining. The other was a dullard who was rude to us and just played the prerecorded script of your sights.

It is very easy to book the Dublin City Tour online and plan to see all the sites in one day if you start early. The buses are very clean, commentary excellent and the bus driver was really helpful and courteous. The bus frequency is very good as well. The tour included a lot of monuments in the city and gave a comprehensive view of Dublin in 2 hours.

This convenient way to tour around Dublin is handy if you want to check out some of Dublin’s best tourist spots. There is a recording that describes the sites you can visit at each stop & shares some of Dublin’s history, or some of the drivers tell the stories themselves (this is MUCH more entertaining than the recording!). My only complaint would be that I found the stops difficult to find if I wandered too far away from them (ie Jameson’s is a couple of blocks away & I ended up walking right past one of the stops trying to find it - as did some other tourists that I met wandering map in hand). And the online interactive map didn’t work well (on my iPhone at least). Would recommend the bus but be aware that the stops are the same colour as Dublin’s city transit bus stops and this can be confusing.
