Full description

Embark on a guided day trip through the lush pastures of Ireland from Dublin. Tour the vast Wicklow Mountains and see the monastery of Glendalough. Lose yourself in the medieval lanes of Kilkenny.

Depart from Dublin and set off on a luxury bus to Glendalough. As you journey out of the city, your guide will fill you in on many interesting facts and fun stories about Dublin.

Arrive at Glendalough, considered one of the most beautiful corners of Ireland. Enjoy an optional guided tour of the monastic settlement and some free time to explore the area or relax at a local café.

The more adventurous can opt to take a hike to the Upper Lake and return via a boardwalk (approx. 2.5 km). The route takes you past the Lower Lake through a stunning nature trail that leads deep into the valley and on to the Upper Lake.

Continue to the Wicklow Mountains. As you drive, your guide will tell you about its geology and history. Pass through famous movie locations featured in P.S. I Love You and Braveheart. Stop for a 10-minute photo opportunity at the Wicklow Gap before a scenic ride to Kilkenny.

Once you reach Kilkenny, have free time to navigate the narrow lanes and historic buildings. Admire its extraordinary castle where you can picnic, or enjoy lunch in the local pubs. Then, join an optional guided tour of the city before making your way back to Dublin.

Pat was our guide and John was our driver, these two irish fellas made our daytrip unforgettable, John made some extra efforts to let the visitors see something that otherwise they couldn't because of lack of parking at a spot etc. He drove safe and nicely.Pat was amazing guide, his whole personality is so friendly, approachable and helpful. He was always making sure everyone's fine and that the ac was not too cold for the visitors. He also took some time to have a chat with all of the visitors to make sure everyone gets answer if they have any questions about anything.Thank you very much and I wish these 2 lads many more successful daytrips and good luck. Weather was typically Irish, the guide was informative & fun & very punctual & ensured guests were too which was grand. Sites were interesting & great trip for a rainy day in Dublin. One suggestion - a quick loo break on the return journey would have been good as we had lunch in Kilkenny & return trip was 1:45hrs

Philip our guide was quite knowledgeable and engaging. Lots of information along the way and he offered to give Walking tours as well free of charge. Lovely man and even though it was a rainy day we did enjoy ourselves. Kilkenny was a lovely little town and we enjoyed the castle tour. Lunch was an amazing bowl of fish soup and Guinness bread at Matt the Miller. The coach could have been better. another tour we went on had a coach with a toilet and phone charging ports. Still it was a shorter day and we made a stop or two with bathroom access so not terrible just had to curb our liquids and battery consumption. WiFi on board the bus was nice to have.
