Depart Dublin and travel to Wicklow National Park for a guided tour of the monastic settlement of Glendalough, founded in the 6th century by St. Kevin. Get back to nature on a walk along the glacial "Valley of 2 Lakes" just 48 kilometers from the city center. Continue through the Wicklow Mountains and cross Wicklow Gap to stop and take souvenir photos of one of the highest mountain passes in Ireland served by an asphalt road. Admire the ever-changing scenery as you make your way to the medieval capital of Kilkenny. Join an expert guide on a tour of the narrow streets. Then, enjoy some free time for lunch in one of the restaurants or pubs. Alternatively, tuck into a simple picnic in the castle grounds. My sister and I took the day tour to Wicklow, Glendalough and Kilkenny. Although the sites were all spectacular, the highlight of our day was spending time with our beloved tour guide Pat. He took the time to welcome us on board and immediately made us feel like family. His interesting facts, storytelling and wit made us share his true passion for Ireland. We would also like to give our warmest thanks to John, who ensured that the ride was smooth and carefree.

The trip was fun and exciting. The trek going to upper lake is amazingly breath-taking! Though I haven't seen so much of Kilkenny due to weather because it was raining so hard. No ones at fault. Got to learn a lot from our tour guide Pat of Collins Bus Tour. He is very accomodating as well. I really admired the skills of our coach driver John because he's really a good one. This is a tour you'll never forget.

Excellent day viewing the rugged gems of the East Coast. The Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough are stunning. A day totally well worth doing to explore this quintessential part of Ireland. I would of given 5 stars but the tour guide Pat went on a bit about giving him the tour feedback and then put up a poster and a wee basket for tips. There was no need to bang on, as a tip was always on the cards. Spoilt the trip just a tad.
