We had a very friendly guide who showed us the distillery with a lot of humor and joy. We were more excited about the building than the whisky. The windows are really great to look at. From my point of view, the whiskey was really nothing special. I like to drink various whiskeys on a regular basis, nothing impressed me here. Maybe it's something for someone who likes American whiskeys. There is little here for lovers of Scottish whiskeys. I even liked the gin served better. In addition, the tour was not in German, as booked! Although half of the group was German speaking.

Amazing tour! Was entertaining learning about their whiskeys but also the churchs history, as the distillery is located inside a centuries old church with attached graveyard, both steeped in history and restored. Most importantly the guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about their stuff. And the whiskey was incredibly delicious. Was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I would definitely recommend and do again.

First a quick video hosted by the founder of the distillery. Next an efficient tour of the grounds and inside the church/distillery. Then a taste test of various whiskeys followed topped off with a gin taste, all very good and generous pours to say the least. I learned a lot about the process, and everyone was very knowledgeable and accommodating.
