Very relaxed and delicious meal with a knowledgeable guide into the culture and answered all questions fully. The meal was very Indian as opposed to the more traditional Arabic which what I would expect from that part of the world. Very interesting conversations about being environmentally friendly yet we were served water in small containers made of plastic. To take food away(which was fabulous to be able to do this!!) we were given foil containers and plastic bags to take food away(which was fabulous!!) maybe everyone could be told to bring their own multiple use containers if they want to be able to take food away. I highly recommend this activity as a first insight into the culture...but it did leave me wanting to know more and with no pointers as to what I can do to have more access to the local people to learn more about their culture.

  • Dubai: Desert Safari with Camel Ride

    6. Dubai: Desert Safari with Camel Ride

Experience Dubai as it was a half century ago on a full-day safari of the desert dunes. Following a pick-up from your hotel, head out to the desert landscape and explore it from the back of a camel. Traveling like the ancient nomads, enjoy a stunning journey through the desert on a traditional camel convoy. This is the most authentic way to trace the footsteps of the Bedouin travellers. Upon arrival at a Bedouin camp, soak up the atmosphere of the gentle flames from traditional lamps nestled inside a private royal retreat. Demonstrations of traditional activities, such as henna painting, falconry displays, and authentic folk music and dance will keep you entertained (not available during the Holy month of Ramadan). Learn the traditional ways of making bread according to recipes handed down from generation to generation. End with a scrumptious dinner under the stars as history comes to...

Very well organised; really fun and friendly staff; a good 45-50 minute camel ride; great food at the camp; perhaps not the sand-only scenery with steep sand dunes you see in Sahara desert (i.e. there are some desert bushes and plants and a fence at parts of the ride), but still very impressive! Although I was afraid it would, it didn't feel too 'touristy'.

  • Dubai: The Pearl Of The Gulf - Half Day Sharjah City Tour

    7. Dubai: The Pearl Of The Gulf - Half Day Sharjah City Tour

This tour will take you to Sharjah, the neighbouring emirate of Dubai, also known as the ‘Pearl of the Gulf’. Several galleries display carefully-restored artifacts from around the Muslim world, celebrating Islamic contribution to the World Heritage. Next, drive to Sharjah’s ‘Old Town’. After a stroll through the restored traditional market Souk Al Arsa, visit the Heritage Museum, showcasing the history and traditions of the Emirates and the Emirates of Sharjah. Before returning, you have time to explore Souk Al Markazi, a treasure trove of carpets, jewelry, and handicrafts.

The tour was amazing and our tour guide gave us plenty of time for looking around and taking pictures. Our tour guide narsha was wonderful and very lovely.

  • Dubai: Private Old Town, Heritage & Souks Walking Tour

Next, you will enjoy an Abra Ride across the Creek, which will involve a traditional boat taking you across to the Deira side of Dubai. Once there, you can explore the various souks (markets), such as the Spice Souk, and Gold Souk in the city. Whether you are looking for an inexpensive knickknack or a diamond necklace, you’re guaranteed to find something to suit you here. • Doha: 5-Hour Guided Tour of North Qatar

    9. Doha: 5-Hour Guided Tour of North Qatar

Your adventure begins when you’re picked up from your Doha hotel and begin heading north for around 40 kilometers. Your first stop will be the Umm Salal Fortress, a tower built for Sheikh Jasim Bin Mohammed Al-Thani’s residence in the late 19th century. This amazing building is closed to the public as it's still occupied, but you’ll have the chance to admire the unique structure from the outside. Next, you’ll visit Al Zubarah, an important archaeological site made famous by its old fort. A square-shaped site with circular towers in three of its corners and a rectangular tower in the fourth, this fascinating fort-cum-museum was built in 1938 during the rule of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Jassim Al-Thani and was erected upon the ruins of a neighboring fort. You’ll then move on to Al Ruwais to discover the Dhow Harbor. Here you’ll take a short break at Ruwais beach to relax and enjoy the fresh...

Guide (Hussein) was well knowledged, of full hospitality and funny. The tour was managed on time and fully covered items originally requested. Hussein’s explanation in the fort and fast developing Doha city gave us good additional insights that self guided or guide books can not give. Unexpected ‘Indian-style’ tea services and stop over at the local truffle stall gave us lively travel experiences (because of private tour?) Clearly and politely ask him what you want. He will make his best efforts to realize it unless it’s really possible. Enjoy Qatar and enjoy Doha!

We were so impressed after meeting the penguins! They listen carefully to the caretaker and are sometimes a bit naughty, so funny :) They let themselves be petted and are so cute ... the photos are not cheap but very unique.

The tour was amazing and our tour guide gave us plenty of time for looking around and taking pictures. Our tour guide narsha was wonderful and very lovely.

It's not cheap for just under 30 minutes in the water, but it is definitely a great experience.
