While the boat ride itself was enjoyable with very pretty scenery, this was NOT an English tour as advertised. There was one man on the boat who spoke English, but none of the announcements were made in English. There is an app you can download to get information in English; however, we didn’t have good service so we couldn’t use it. That being said, the crew on board was friendly, and the one man who did speak English was helpful in answering our questions.

If you love boating, you should do this trip. But it is not a tour with explanations for tourists, rather a scheduled trip from Dresden to Königstein. If there are not too many people on board, you can relax wonderfully. The service on board was great.. Very attentive. That was really good. Drinks, small things to eat. Everything there. Most of it was covered for protection from the sun, which was much needed on our day.

An unforgettable trip on the paddle wheel steamer from 1886, the MS Pillnitz. A technique that still inspires today. The entire journey is an experience. A must for lovers of steam engines. Everything can be admired during the journey. Whether the machine, the boiler or the paddle wheels can be observed. The trip along the Elbe from Dresden to Königstein is impressive. Great sights to cruise past. There is a gastronomy on the ship, which, with super-friendly staff, makes the entire trip even more beautiful.
