Hop out of the kayaks and take a refreshing dip in the water, then continue to explore the natural beauty of the valley on foot. Enjoy a picnic among the incredible landscape of vineyards. After lunch, as you continue to hike through the valley, your local guide will explain about the traditions and culture of the region. Stop at one of the valley’s famous vineyards for a wine tasting session and a tour of the winery. End your tour with a hike to a fantastic viewpoint in São Leonardo de Galafura.
Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in Porto, and then journey to the town of Régua. Explore the beautiful wine region of the Douro Valley by 4WD vehicle and venture off road to escape the usual tourist crowds. Journey through the mountains that rise steeply from the banks of the River Douro, and see the amazing vineyards that produce wines with Portugal's highest DOC (Denominação de Origem Controlada) classification. Stop for a picnic lunch and soak up the amazing views. Continue to a local quinta (winery) to sample some of the fortified port wines produced in the region. Then, return to Porto and get more amazing views of the UNESCO World Heritage vineyards.
Rodruigez was a great guide, informative, engaging and very professional. In the 4 wheel drive you get the local experience and the tour allows you to explore the region in a leisurely way. The vineyard tour was great and I would highly recommend this tour. We had a fantastic time.
After being picked up from your accommodation in Porto or the Douro Valley region, embark on a full-day private guided tour. Begin the tour with a 1-hour cruise on a Rabelo boat, a traditional Portuguese wooden cargo boat that was used for centuries to transport people and goods along the Douro River. Learn how wine was transported in wooden barrels, by boat or train, to the cellars of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. After the boat tour, stop for lunch at a panoramic restaurant with incredible views over the river. Savor regional dishes from one of the most scenic terraces in the area. When you've finished eating and soaking up the views, embark on a thrilling Jeep ride along off-road trails in the direction of Pinhão. Arrive at a local vineyard where you will have the opportunity to sample Porto wine.

Was a very nice, eventful and informative day. Guide Pedro went to a lot of trouble, also regarding the language, as my English is not the best, we visited very nice places and places that I would never have come to, and the picnic with wine and Portuguese snacks was also very nice , especially the location. I can only recommend it.
Not only did the tour show a very beautiful landscape but in addition, the guide gave us complete explanations on the region and on Porto. At noon, our guide offered us a typical picnic. Then, we were treated to a visit to a vineyard with a tasting in a private space ... Too much class !!! It was perfect...
As the company had to change the tour, there was a good dialogue into this, which did both with confidence in the change - and that we did not experience missing anything on the trip itself. The guide had a great ability to gather us participants and thus create a good community from the beginning.
Our guides, Diogo and Rue, were funny, entertaining and well-informed about not only the history of Douro Valley and port wine, but about the history of Portugal. My friends and I had an incredible time off-roading with these two, learning about the area, and sampling Croft port.
I highly recommend this activity for nature lovers who want to get away from the city for a few moments. The views are impressive and the visit to the vineyard is a "must"! Our guide João was great!
