Approximately translated into English as “Monastery of the Holy Lance”, it refers to the lance with which Longinus pierced Jesus whilst he was still hanging on the cross. The complex is a representation of 13th century Armenia, which is considered to be the Golden Age of the country’s architecture. On the way to the temple, there will also be short stop at the Charents Arch where you will be given the chance to enjoy one of the best moments of your trip to Armenia: a picturesque view of the Biblical Mount Ararat. From here, your tour will progress to the beautiful Lake Sevan. The tour will then continue to the Sevan Peninsula, where you will witness the black ancient Monastery Sevanavank as well as breathtaking views over the top of the peninsula. Following this, you will venture to the emerald town of Dilijan, whose lush forests and green hills will remind you of a 'Little Switzerland'. Amazing experience. Even though it was a very misty day and was not possible to fully appreciate the surroundings, it was a great way to understand the culture and past of the region. Be ready to climb lots of stairs! We were lucky enough to get snow when we reach to the top of lake Sevan monastery :D Highly recommended!

This was an amazing tour (even in the heart of winter). So many beautiful sights. The driver, Spartan, was very skilled, punctual and professional and the guide, Tatev, was so kind knowledgeable and personable. She spoke perfect English, Russian and Armenian. Highly recommend this tour!
