  • Dijon: Wines of Burgundy Half-Day Tour of Beaune

    1. Dijon: Wines of Burgundy Half-Day Tour of Beaune

Travel the Grand Cru wine route of the Burgundy wine lands on a half-day tour from Dijon, and visit the wine capital on a stroll around the historic city of Beaune. You will be in the hands of an expert sommelier, wine collector or producer, traveling along scenic roads that take you past vineyards and rural villages. Discover the vineyards of famous Grand Cru appellations, such as the Romanée Conti, Clos de Vougeot, Chambertin, and Montrachet, passing abbeys, castles, and Roman churches along the way. Stop to taste a selection of Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits wines. Your sommelier will introduce you to 5 to 7 white and Pinot Noir red wines, including some extraordinary Premiere and Grand Cru wines. Then, enjoy some free time wandering the historic streets of Beaune, Burgundy’s picturesque capital. Discover traditional shops selling typical produce of the region, including blackcur...

Lovely, knowledgeable guide but if you’re expecting a wine tasting tour like Aus or US then this is not for you. 40 mins spent tasting some nice and mainly red wine wines followed by a drive to Beaune through the vineyards. You will learn about the classification system but you wont visit producers or see a winery up close. Beaune is beautiful but an hour is not enough to give it justice - go see it separately.

Sebastian has a very deep knowledge of Burgundy wines. We learned so much on the day about the soils and growing conditions and this made the tasting experience so much more meaningful. We came away from the experience with some beginner knowledge of Burgundy wines as well as an appreciation of how much more there is to learn. I can really recommended this tour if you’re in Burgundy.

Our full day tour along the Burgundy Wine Route led from Dijon to Beaune with two tastings. Our tour guide, Antonin, was the perfect companion: He has a very nice, pleasant manner and a very in-depth knowledge of the growing areas and wines of Burgundy. So he was able to give valuable information to the connoisseurs in our small group. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun doing it. Absolutely recommendable!

A very pleasant day in addition to being instructive in the company of Thomas, a warm guide with in-depth expertise, and quickly knowing how to put all the members of the group at ease. We recommend without hesitation this activity of tasting high quality wines and exploring the route des grands crus. We thank Thomas once again for the good memories we will have on this day. Elsa and Pierre

A very enjoyable tour - very informative and very tasty. Our guide Sebastian was excellent: Both knowledgable and passionate about wine and the area. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Our guide made us discover 2 charming medieval villages and a timeless abbey. The service was impeccable and the guide competent and warm. To advice.

Beautiful countryside, friendly and knowledgeable guide, COVID precautions in place to maintain a safe environment.
