Begin the tour with a scenic ride in a Jeep through Ebro Delta Natural Park, stopping at points of biological, historical, and cultural interest along the way. Ride along next to the mouth of the Ebro River to the Garxal lagoon, where you'll have the chance to observe the birds that live in the Llacuna and hear about the ecosystems that compose it. 2. From Deltebre: Ebro Delta National Park Multi-Stop Day Trip

The tour stars in the Ecomuseum of the Natural Park of the Ebro Delta which help us to understand what the Delta is and how it has change over time. After with the car we will explore the north Delta stopping in the itinerary to talk about the rice production, cycle and invasive species. During de tour we will see different kind of birds and we'll stop to birdwatch them. After a while we'll reach the Fangar's Bay where we can experience one of the most salty plants with an special taste. We follow the the circuit on the bays shore to stop in Illa de Mar wetland where we'll leave the car to enjoy this amazing wetland. We'll do a short walk of 1km to reach the viewpoint from where we see the mussels beds and the imensity of the Fangars Peninsula. At the end with the car we will get the Illa de Mar fishing port to talks about the mussels and oysters production. From this point we'll come back to the Ecomuseum againg after enjoyed this spectacular tour which give you a 3h of total immersion in the particularities of this amazing Delta.

Discover the landscapes and culture of the northern part of the Ebro Delta. Learn about the shellfishing traditions of Illa de Mar, find out all about the cultivation of rice, and keep your eyes peeled to spot the different kinds of wildlife that inhabit this place. First, head to Illa de Mar, an area situated within Fangar Bay. It's known for its shellfish and has more than a century of tradition behind it. Discover the traditional tools and boats that are used for the cultivation of mussels and oysters Enjoy the panoramic views while you're there. Admire the green filter lagoon, the fishing village of l'Ampolla, the mussel farms in the middle of the bay, and the red and white lighthouse of the Fangar Peninsula. Using binoculars, observe the wildlife resting quietly in these waters, and try to spot the star of the biosphere reserve, the flamingo. Visit the point where the Ebro finally meets the Mediterranean Sea. It's a place with great natural richness and stunning landscapes. From the Delta's highest viewpoint, known locally as 'Ziggurat', you can look out over the different ecosystems that make up the park. Throughout the tour, there are of course many rice paddies. Learn all about the peculiarities of this crop for which Ebro Delta is so well-known. The river mouth is flanked at its final stretch by Buda Island and Sant Antoni Island as well as a newly formed Garxal Lagoon. Find out about the most serious environmental problem it faces. After the conclusion of the tour, you will return to the meeting point.

Embark on a guided tour that takes you through the southern part of El Delta de l'Ebre and visits its largest lagoons. Admire their beauty and keep your eyes peeled to spot local wildlife. The first stop on the tour will be at Els Ullals de Baltassar. It's a natural treasure of great importance due to the purity of its water and the ecosystem that surrounds it. Up next are the two biggest lagoons in the area: l’Encanyissada and la Tancada. In the past, they were connected but are now separated due to the drying of the land for rice cultivation. Discover the tower of Sant Juan. It's a small set of ruins located in the northern part of Alfacs Bay. Then visit one of the most photographed wild beaches in Catalonia: El Trabucador, a 6km sandy stretch that leads to the Mediterranean Sea.

5. Birdwatching in the Ebro Delta

We will meet at the indicated time at the reception of Camping Ampolla Playa de L'Ampolla, and from there we will begin this tour in which we will get to know the fauna of the Delta del Ebro Natural Park. We will follow an environmental educator around the Les Olles lagoon, the smallest in the Natural Park, but which has a significant population of waterfowl. During the tour, we will observe the different species of birds that live in this unique ecosystem. To do this, we will go to the viewpoints that are located around the lagoon to see mallards, egrets, kingfishers and stilts, as well as the majestic flamingos. We will also take the opportunity to learn about the vegetation of the region, as well as about the rice fields that surround the reserve. In addition, this bird watching experience in the Les Olles lagoon and the Fangar bay, in the heart of the Ebro Delta Natural Park, takes place along the entire coastline. From L'Ampolla to the fishing port of Illa de Mar. After a journey of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, we will end the tour by returning to the meeting point.

6. From Deltebre: Ebro Delta & Buda Island Bike and Kayak Tour

Combined guided kayak and bicycle tour of the Ebro Delta: Our route starts at Riu a l'Ebre, We go out along the river walk with the Ebro on our left until we find the bridge "Lo Passador", and cross it using the bike path on it. We pass in front of the Racó del Riu restaurant and take the river walk that follows the course of the river -this is on our left- it is sealed way until the end of the village, Sant Jaume d'Enveja. At the end of the sealed path we find a dirt road fenced in by a wooden railing. The road runs parallel to the river, although most of the way it cannot be seen. We will arrive at one of the last preserved river forests, known as "The Grove", with native species, and then you get to Mas de la Comandanta, a stately construction surrounded by rice fields. We continue for about 7 km until the end of the towpath. At this point we find a metal structure that is used as a small bridge and, once crossed the irrigation canal, We will find on the left an old boat crossing known as Barcaza de Buda which was formerly used during the winter to access the island, when the storms left inaccessible its usual entrance located on the beach of Migjorn. At this point we will leave the bicycles and we will enter the Migjorn river to navigate in a kayak bordering the Island of Buda, one of the wildest and most inaccessible areas of the Delta. Throughout the walk we can enjoy the magnificent vegetation that can be seen on the banks of the river: reed, hurdles and eucalyptus among others, that give freshness and are impregnated in our retina. The tour will come to an end at Migjorn beach, where our team will pick you up to make the return to Riu a l’Ebre by vehicle. Departures every Thursday at 10:00h del 15 July to 15 of September. Buddha Way Route (approximately 3 to 3 and a half hours) If you need a dry area to deposit personal items, waterproof containers are available for rent. And should you take your mobile, do not forget to bring a waterproof case .
