Visit the Delphi Archeological Site and museum and see the Temple of Apollo, the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, and more. Later, get free time to explore a scenic village. The morning of your trip, meet your licensed tour guide and depart in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. The drive takes about 2.5 hours going each way, so sit back and enjoy the passing scenery as you pass through the Boeotia plains. As you travel, begin to immerse yourself in Ancient Greece as your guide tells tales about ancient Greek mythology, King Oedipus, God Apollo, and more. Your first stop will be at Kryas Livadeia Springs, a picturesque valley near the city of Levadia. Streams, limestone formations, stone and wooden bridges, and walking routes along the banks create the perfect scenery for a photo walk. During a guided tour through the archaeological site, see some of the most important and unique archaeological monuments, such as the Temple of Apollo and its oracle, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall. Later, you can visit the Archaeological Museum of Delphi (entry fees paid on site), which hosts globally known pieces of art like the Sphinx of Naxos, the Statue of Antinous, the Siphnian Treasury, and the Charioteer of Delphi. After the visit to Delphi, hop back on the bus to the multicolored village of Arachova, built on the mountainside. Delphi lies 180 kilometers northwest of Athens, on the slopes of mountain Parnassus, close to Arachova, a beautiful mountainous town. The route to Delphi is amazing, full of sensational, natural landscapes and cute country villages. Delphi is a magical place where history meets with mythology. During antiquity (6th century B.C.), Delphi was the most significant point of reference for ancient Greeks, known throughout the ancient Greek world and beyond, as the sanctuary of Apollo, god of light and knowledge, and the shrine of his high priestess and seer, Pythia. Both kings and mortals consulted the notorious Pythia, about their future. She would even predict the outcomes of battles and wars. Isn’t it exciting? Common people would consult her as well if they could afford it. Nowadays, Delphi is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece. Since it is located on a mountain slope, divided into two levels by the main road, the views you will enjoy are out of this world. The site and the museum is a must-visit for people from all over the world who want to learn all about its remarkable history and also admire an awe-inspiring location of raw beauty. The Delphi museum is one of the most notable in Greece, hosting treasures of exquisite beauty and historical significance, such as the Sphinx of Naxos, the famous Charioteer of Delphi, the Kouros brothers, and many more. Dare to walk on Delphi’s sacred paths, under the strong Greek sun, and you might hear Apollo’s seer whispering her prophecies.

The Delphi Day Trip with tag Athens was worth every penny. The coach was well air-conditioned and very comfortable, and the view was truly spectacular. Our tour guide took the time to show us around all the monuments and in the archaeological museum we took a glimpse of the beautiful artifacts like the statue of Antinoos. Our tour ended in a beautiful village where we enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch in a very beautiful taverna and cried in laughter while trying to pronounce Greek food! We arrived back at the hotel late in the afternoon and immediately fell asleep! What a day!

Delphi is a must if you visiting Greece and I booked this tour to enjoy the benefits of having a licensed your guide in a small group. I searched a lot and I made a great choice considering many Delphi tour they offered without a tour guide but just the driver. So careful and boom the right tour for you.

You can’t miss Delphi when visiting Athens. The archaeological site and the museum were unique and very interesting. The area is a little steep but we had no problem moving around and in the end we were rewarded with a great lunch in a traditional Greek taverna!

I booked it last minute and thoughtfully enjoyed it. Fantastic brand new van, a small group of 7 people, makes the feeling like a private experience, excellent tour guide, leisurely and relaxing experience, without the stress of the big groups and busses.

The weather was really nice and not too hot so we really enjoyed the trip. We saw amazing views and places and the Delphi experience was overall fantastic. Our tour guide Kimono was very experienced and knowledgeable.
