Full description

Discover the main sights and learn about the history of the city of Cusco while you acclimatize on this sightseeing tour. Enjoy a carefully curated itinerary that gives you the best introduction to the city and its traditions. This tour takes you to the main highlights of Cusco and its surroundings.

Feel free to sit back and relax in the open-top sightseeing bus and ride the entire route in 2.5 hours.

Start the tour by driving through the historic center of Cusco. Sit back and enjoy the views while a bilingual guide explains the importance of each landmark within the city. Later drive through some of the main archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, and Puca Pucara. Get a panoramic view from the top deck of the bus. On the way back to Cusco, stop at a shamanic center. Witness a traditional Inca ceremony that pays homage to the Pachamama (Inca mother earth), the mountains, and the natural world. Stop at an alpaca wool weaving center where one of the workers will explain the differences between the various types of wool. Learn to recognize authentic alpaca wool when shopping for gifts. Before ending the tour, visit the large white statue of Christ that stands on the hill overlooking the city of Cusco. From here, enjoy fantastic views of the entire city. The meeting point didn’t seem accurate as the tour guide had to run me down the street in order to catch the bus even though I had been there for 25 minutes. However, once aboard I had a great time! Saw all the sights and had a blessing ceremony up on the mountains where you could also see alpacas and buy homemade goods. Worth the money and half day experience! Wear sunscreen however, the wind is deceiving and I got quite burnt!!

Amazing tour. Guide was knowledgeable and spoke both English and Spanish throughout the tour. Saw a few Incan sites and visited an Altomisayoc who performed a 15 minute ceremony honoring Pachamama. That alone made the whole experience. Highly recommend.

The trip was exceptional. It was a perfect introduction to Cuzco city and the history. Joel the guide spoke good English and did know a lot. This bus company is top rated in Cusco, sadly I came across other operators trying to sell tickets using their name and photos. I recommend that you book straight through GYG or look for Cusco Open Tour to get an authentic experience with this Orange bus company.
