Start you tour at a Greek style kafeneio café in the heart of the city. Sit down in a square next to a running fountain and orange trees. Indulge in an authentic Cretan breakfast of a traditional Greek coffee or fresh juice and a handmade sfakianopita cheese pie coated with a layer of handmade jam.

Michael was our guide and he was awesome. He was so easy going, with a good sense of humor, and excellent sense of direction, navigating the winding alleys. He is very knowledgeable about Rethymno, Greek history, culture and gastronomy. He was so welcoming and did not rush us at all. I would highly recommend this tour!

Tina was the most wonderful guide! We learnt so much about so many different aspects of Cretan life and culture. She was also fantastic at helping us to get our bearings and giving us lots of tips on where to eat and visit after the tour was over. Would highly recommend this trip!
