Full description

Enjoy an e-bike tour with Cretan food tasting in Heraklion, Crete with a guide. Discover Heraklion's highlights as well as lesser-known corners as you learn about the characters who have shaped the city that you see today. Visit some locally loved hangouts where regional food and drinks await.

Head to the meeting point and get kitted out with the necessary bike gear while listening to a safety briefing. When you’re ready, hit the road with your local guide and set off on your sightseeing adventure.

Start the day with a traditional Greek coffee after meeting with a local food guide in the square of Pancretan stadium. Then, ride towards the city of Heraklion, stopping at an ideal spot for photos, followed by a sample of local mezes (small dishes) in a traditional tavern. Tuck into a midday meal at a tavern while enjoying sea views. Try the sweetest Loukoumades (fried dough dessert). Experience both the Mediterranean and Cretan sides of Greek cuisine. Meet locals, from the tavern owners to local farmers.

Once you've worked up a bit of an appetite, savor some delicious Greek meze and learn about traditional cuisine. Finally, stop at one of the city’s ancient markets before heading back to the meeting point where the tour ends.

This activity was simply awesome. Alex was an amazing host and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He was so hospitable and we had so much fun. There was so much food and alcohol involved. We left totally stuffed and happy! Would 100% recommend this tour. It’s such a great way to explore and the bikes are so much fun! Book it now!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour! Alex our tour guide made us feel like we were spending the day with family. The food was all amazing and got a true feel for the cuisine of Crete. My husband was initially not sure if he wanted to go and after said it was the highlight of his visit. Would highly recommend!!

We were trying to think of a last minute activity for Heraklion on a day we left open for anything: doing a large group tour didn't sound like fun, so we opted to try out this tour to get more food sampling and get to different parts of the city without walking (our legs were dead after many days of long walks). Within minutes of booking, Alex our guide had texted and gave us the meeting spot, which was walkable along the waterfront in about 35 minutes (nice walk). Alex was a fun and generous guide, able to converse on a broad range of topics and could answer anything. So: this was a LOT OF FOOD! My biggest regret was eating breakfast in the morning: usually I don't meet my limits but I did on this tour, it started off with a few stops for smaller bites but let to a huge lunch and then more dessert on top of that. I didn't have any appetite until breakfast the next day (good!). The e-bikes were fun, safe and low to the ground, some butt-hurt from the seats, consider a seat pad.
