Start your day at Arolithos Cretan Village with a warm welcome by the staff. The staff will be within the village, awaiting your arrival with a traditional glass of Raki, which you can enjoy with some locally sourced nuts. The staff will also provide you with some information about the day, whilst also providing you with some valuable information about the art of weaving and textiles. Enjoy a 30-minute visit to the Museum of Rural History and Folk Craft. This tour is a must and will provide you with a lot of fascinating information about Cretan culture and history.  Next, your course will begin by preparing the strings and making the fabrics. You will learn all the necessary steps required to take part in this process. You will have the opportunity to see the wool production in a slide presentation, learn about the symbols and designs on the fabrics that get produced, and use a real weaving loom to practice your skill. At the end of your tour, you will be able to take a piece of decorated fabric home with you as a souvenir.
