I booked the mini-train tour and the tour the Villages of Avdou, Gonies, and Potamies. It lasted for about 4 hours. If you want to see more of Hersonissos, this is the tour for you. You actually realize that is a big town. The landscape you see while on the train is amazing and I liked how the people in the villages were waving at us in the train. There are 2 things to improve : the sound quality was really poor when the guide was speaking and when the automated recordings were playing. I could barely hear anything and it was really unfortunate because it was about the story of Crete and Hersonissos and I could only grasp some bits here and there because of the poor sound. The second was that I would have loved to spend more time in the village called Mohos to really taste the local cuisine. 50 min was not enough at all. We all had drinks and food at the restaurants there but we were rushing to get back to the bus and ate and drank so quickly because of the little time we had.

We booked the traditional ride and were more than thrilled! You see so many great places, whether it's beaches, landscapes or historical sights. The people in the small villages were also so friendly and were very happy when they were pronounced dead. We enjoyed it very much. the staff was beyond friendly, accommodating and fun. Clear recommendation for everyone who wants to see a little more of the area! :)
